Jan. 2003 — Present

Consultant & Lead Software Engineer for Emerge.MD, a Phoenix-based company providing technology services for the medical industry. Working remotely as a consultant for Emerge.MD, I have developed a number of online software applications, focused on collecting research data. I have played an integral role in all levels of production, including:

  • administration of SQL Server databases with millions of rows of HIPAA-compliant medical data,
  • architecting multi-tiered ASP.NET applications with a focus on reusable, metadata-driven frameworks,
  • maintaining software with 200,000+ lines of code,
  • leading a team of developers and managing the software development lifecycle,
  • doing IIS and windows administration in a secure multi-server environment.
Dec. 2001— Dec. 2002

Consultant for Ibulient Technologies, which provides market research data to companies in telecommunications, real estate and health care. I developed an array of dynamic, custom-tailored sites placing their extensive range of marketing information online. I standardized their research offerings into a flexible database structure and set up content management interfaces for them to upload mass amounts of information. I was also responsible for the administration of their dedicated Linux server.

Feb.2001—Present

Web Consultant for Broadview Press. As the web designer for this academic publisher, I am responsible for the maintenance of the main website, the design of adjunct sites for specific books, and the fine-tuning of their book database.

Dec.2000—Present Freelance Web Consultant with my own company, Diorama Design.
Jan.2001—June 2001 Publisher's Representative for Broadview Press, liaising with professors in colleges and universities throughout the Pacific Northwest, via phone, email and in-person. In this position I carried out extended sales trips across Canada and the United States.
